Madison Heights, fungi. 

Several nice ones, various poses, in lawn. 

Boletus subtomentosus [] [voucher] 

On southwest corner of Fillmore and El Molino, under the first oak (very young). 
 GEN small to medium-sized mushrooms, scattered in lawn near young oak
 ST even, solid, dk reddish fibrillose near apex fading to pale yellow like the lfesh at the bottom, bright yellow fuzz near bottom, 30-40x5.5-7.5mm
 CAP subtomentose, medium gray-brown, hemispherical, 20-40mm wide (up to 1.5")
 FLESH pale yellow, reddish just under cuticle, doesn't bruise
 PORE angular, largish, dingy yellow, bruises sl brownish, seceding a little
 SPORE print pending

Two basidia, in water, at 1000x. Spores, in water, at 1000x. Close-up of gills, at 10x. Knocked over, on sidewalk. One hidden in lawn. 

Marasmius [] [voucher] 

 GEN tiny mushroom, in lawn near young oak
 ST like cap, white tom near abruptly bulbous base, 37x0.9-1.1mm, wiry
 CAP convex, dry, lt brown, 9mm wide, translucent
 GILL pale brownish, aging cinnamon, distant, v shallow cross-veins present, adnate, basidia ~10um wide
 SPORE print failed (probably lt brown), simple, clear, textured and bubbly inside, ellip, sl apiculus, (8.4)10+/-0.7(11)x(5.9)6.7+/-0.4(7.5)um (Q=(1.3)1.5+/-0.09(1.6)) (N=28)
