Madison Heights, fungi. 

Spore print. Several, knocked over. Two gooey ones in grass. Very nice one, quarter view. Perfect mature one, quarter view. Two beauties and liquified one, quarter view. Several scattered in lawn. Many scattered in brand new turf-laid lawn. 

Bolbitius coprophilus [] [voucher] 

 GEN small mushroom, scattered in brand new turf-laid lawn
 ST 80-100x2.0-3.5mm, narrowing gradually to apex, whitish to pinkish, smooth, v fragile
 CAP 31-47mm, ellipsoid when v young to conic finally becoming nearly plane with umbo, deep chocolate at first fading quickly to brownish, v viscid when fresh, smooth, v fragile and translucent, plicate nearly all the way to disc
 GILL whitish aging rich golden brown then liquefying as deeper brown (unless in the sun), barely attached
 SPORE print rust brown

One on desk with spore print, sliced in half. 

Boletus subtomentosus [] [voucher] 

 GEN a few small mushrooms, under _Quercus agrifolia_
 ST pale yellow with red stains starting near apex, solid
 CAP subtomentose, light brown, NH4-
 FLESH pale yellow, not bruising
 PORE large, dirty yellow, not bruising, sinuate
 SPORE print ochre brown

Two, on desk, one sliced in half. Three of various ages, knocked over. Perfect sunny brownish cap, quarter view. Two dirty brown caps, side view. Two dirty brown caps, quarter view. Mature cap in weird light, quarter view. Perfect white cap, quarter view. 

Leucoagaricus barssii [] [voucher] 

These are from the same place that produced these last year (20070926 and 20070928), south side of Fillmore between Oakland and Madison, near east end.
 GEN medium-large mushrooms, scattered in lawn
 ST white, clavate, hollow at center, smooth, ~60x10-20mm
 CAP white with brown fibrils esp on disc, innately shaggy fibrous, 40-80mm wide
 VEIL partial, leaves thick complex ring halfway up or near apex of st
 GILL white, crowded, free
 SPORE print white
Must be either Leucoagaricus or Macrolepiota.
