Cheilocystidia, in water, at 1000x. Cheilocystidia, in water, at 1000x. Cuticle section, in K, at 1000x. Gill section, in water, at 100x. Spores, in water, at 1000x. Spore print. Beautiful one, knocked over. Beautiful one, side view, blurred. Beautiful one, quarter view.

 GEN medium-sized mushroom, solitary, in mulched flower bed
 ST 33x3-4mm, sl enlarged toward base, cap-colored, whitish fibrillose esp at top, v faint fibrils from possible partial veil near top
 CAP broadly convex, golden brown, lighter toward margins, 30-35mm wide, smooth, not hygrophanous, at least tacky when moist, cuticle maybe a trichoderm
 VEIL none, possibly some remnants evidenced by sl ragged margin and few extra fibrils in ring near top of stem
 GILL nearly free, light brown, white mottling on sides, white edge, abundant thin-walled bowling-pin shaped cystidia on edge, nothing on face, nothing turning golden in K, trama parallel
 SPORE print dk brown perhaps purplish?, smooth, ellip, germ pore, (9.5)10+/-0.25(10)x(4.8)5.2+/-0.2(5.5)um (Q=(1.7)1.8+/-0.1(2.0)) (N=12)
