Location 4
No Name Key, same road as in Location 3, farther on and off-trail in the
scrub to the right. There's a handy little trail that meanders amoong the scrub sort of parallelling the road. The near end is hidden off the first little spur road that goes off to the right, search among the buttonwoods where the road enters the water. Many wonderful Parmotrema and tons of good pyrenolichens and airplants and more. It's all edge-of-hammock scrub: poisonwood, red ironwood, spanish stopper, blolly, black bead, buttonwood, saffron plum, and probably a black mangrove or two. As lichens grow happily on the bark of most of these species, the forest is well-ventilated but shaded enough not to be too exposed to direct sunlight, and it is well-situated to pick up marine aerosols, this makes ideal epiphytic lichen and flower territory.

I'm fairly sure this must be
Pyxine despite there being no apothecia that are truly lacking the thalline rim. If not, I haven't a clue what it is.
