A few nice rosettes. Nice set of confluent patches on mahogany.

This was on the big mahogany on the trail with the little name tag on it, fairly close to the open area.

Polyporaceae [] [voucher] 

This was on the base of a dogwood just off trail near the red stoppers.
 GEN large shelf fungus, in small cluster, at base of large fig (live), K? 
 CAP 100-150mm wide, flat, dusty black with ochre sheen but mostly matte, yellow growing marg, concentric ridges but not zoned at all, smooth
 FLESH 4-5mm thick, brown, dry, tough, corky
 PORE 4-5 per mm, v dk brown, to 8mm deep, smooth, thin walls, striking bright metallic-ochre when viewed at oblique angle
 SPORE print blackish olive green

Ardisia escallonioides 

Grove of nicely fungicized trunks. Nice grove of mushroom-covered trunks in deep hammock. Typical moss and mushroom-covered trunk base in deep hammock. Section of trunk in open. Base of trunk in open. Some lichens on a mature trunk. 

Bourreria succulenta 

Base of trunk nicely covered in lichens. Typical trunk. 

Simarouba glauca 

Highly pitted/patchy/flaky trunks. 

Coccoloba diversifolia

Gymnanthes lucida 

Typical trunk. Base of typical trunk. 

Drypetes diversifolia 

Rather old somewhat abused trunks. Older trunks start to turn leprose. Trunks with warts  not atypical. Typical young trunk.
