Looked along canal to collect a few Dirinaria but failed to find any Pyxine today.

Dirinaria applanata [] [voucher] 

On last little "outcrop" into canal, going SW from tunnels. 
 GEN foliose lichen, on dogwood bark
 THAL lt gray, not spotted, lobes confluent w fan-shaped tips, closely appressed, flat to v subtly convex at edges, to 1mm wide, black and smooth bel (no rhiz), soredia in little semi-globose soralia scattered in center
 MED white
 APO none

Dirinaria purpurascens [] [voucher] 

On last little "outcrop" into canal, going SW from tunnels. 
 GEN foliose lichen, on dogwood bark
 THAL lt greenish gray, not spotted, lobes confluent w fan-shaped tops, flat to v subtly convex and wrinkled, closely appressed, to 1.5mm wide, black and smooth bel (no rhiz), no soredia
 MED white
 APO abundant, 0.8mm wide, lecanorine, black w striking purple pruina, raised smooth whitened rim

Physcia neogaea [] [voucher] 

On last little "outcrop" into canal, going SW from tunnels. 
 GEN foliose lichen, on dogwood bark
 THAL lt gray, not spotted, lobes 0.5-1.0mm, closely appressed, imbr, convex, fanned tips, verrucose in center, white bel w tiny white rhiz
 APO up to 1mm wide, sl convex to sl concave, heavily white pruinose, rims smooth and even and v sl raised
