NC, Smokies, 20071124
CabinCove, fungi.

MM and PBR. Tons of Flammulina velutipes, on all the poplars knocked down last year.  Also Galerina, Tubaria, and a few brown Mycena, in addition to the ones below.  Oh, and what looked to be a Panus, I just didn't trust it to have survived the freeze last two days (figuring it would liquefy soon as I brought it in).

These two on a hemlock that fell two years ago:

Large young group, side view. Large group, top view. Large group, quarter view.

Panellus stipticus []

Dacrymyces palmatus []

These two on a poplar that fell last year:

Pretty small icy-slick cluster, quarter view. Gorgeous icy young cluster, side view. Gorgeous snow-topped cluster, side view. Gorgeous snow-topped cluster, bottom-quarter view. Gorgeous snow-topped cluster, side view.

Flammulina velutipes []

Pleurotus ostreatus []

This in the same place on PBR as 20071120:

Older one in moss, gills. Older one in moss, quarter view.

Panellus serotinus [] [voucher]
