Agrocybe praecox-group []
Scattered in lawn on SW corner of Fillmore and Magnolia.

Doesn't key well
Arora doesn't quite know what to do with brown-spored mushrooms with ring and attached gills. Keys variously to
Strophariaceae,
Coprinaceae, even
Bolbitiaceae, depending on exact color of spore print and robustness of mushroom. Pursuing every branch, I've settled on
Agrocybe being the most likely, in which it clearly keys to
A. praecox-group, thence to either
A. praecox itself or
A. dura. Michael Kuo gives an entirely different breakdown of the species complex. I'm going to resist speculation. (It's worth noting that several sources mention the root-like "rhizomorphs" attached to the base.)
