Madison Heights, two sandmats. 

I would love to know the difference between C. maculata and C. serpyllifolia hirtula.  Seems the first has smaller fruits and less wrinkled seeds.  Is that it??

Opp Fillmore on W side of Marengo, on and around utility plate. 
 GEN annual, creeping, rooting at nodes
 ST glab, internodes long
 LF glab, only sl longer than wide, entire, rounded tip
 STIP join in broad scale
 INFL solit, 1.2mm
apps white to pink, short, wider than gland, gently scallop

Opp Fillmore on W side and sl N, among roses.  Another on N side of Fillmore just E of Arroyo, among flowers at side of Sizzler. 
 GEN annual, creeping to sl ascending
 ST hirsute on top and sometimes on bottom, internodes long to v short
 LF twice as long as wide, min serr, hairy or just cil, red spot in center often
 STIP separate, lin, long
 INFL 1.4-1.5mm, short strig all over
 SEED brown, trans wrinkled
