South Key Largo, few flowers.

Walking up to Doc's Diner and back.

Richardia grandiflora []

Large patch somewhere around milepost 97 or so, between path and hwy.  Coming into full flower.
GEN herb, sprawling, d spreading hirsute and min curly strig
LF opp, entire, 25x10+5mm or so, oblance-ellip, stips form fibrillate sheath, ocreal bristles 3mm & red, hairy
 INFL term involucrate head
SEP 6, joined at base, min bristly esp ab, 3x1mm, delt
PET 6, joined, funnel-shaped, tube 10mm, lobes ov & 5x3mm, lilac to pinkish lobes with lines ext down into white funnel a little
STAM 6, att in sinuses, fil 1mm, anth 1.5mm, white
OV inf, 3 mericarps joined to central post
STYLE 1, 3 forks, 10mm + 2mm forks, white, attached inside green pillowy ring at base
 FR 2x2mm, round, v 3-lobed, conspic tuberculate
SEED 1.5mm, oblong prism, grooved inside

Convolvulaceae []

Scattered, some large patches, closer to milepost 99-100, along path and road. In full flower, but closes tight so quickly after picking that it's hard to dissect.
 GEN herb, sprawling, mostly glab
LF strongly sagittate, glab and even sl glauc bel, sp short bristly ab, trich simple
INFL small cyme or pan, scale-like bracts, tuberculate
SEP long pilose bel half with abupt distinct bulb bases, ~7mm long
PET pinkish purplish, ~15mm long, funnelform, glab to sl sh hirsute inside bel where stam attach
STAM 5, attach around base of ov, sp min hairy bel
OV 1, sup, 3 ovules, v d long silky erect hairy
STYLE 1, two-lobed at tip, stigmas compact

Fails to key to genus convincingly: 3 seeds, 1 style, scale-like bracts, uniform sepals, and simple trichomes gets you to I. purpurea, I. hederacea (both are way off), and M. umbellata (but I don't see the anthers twisting).

Chamaesyce hypericifolia []

Some large sub-bushes with 1/4" trunks and maybe 3-4' high.  At edge of fence of fallow lot near milepost 100 or so.  Key characters I used to verify ID:
 ST glab
 LF glab
 STIP joined, conspic, red
INFL tight br'd cluster (with some tin scale-like bracts in there) in a few axils near br tips
gland tiny, greenish
apps 1mm or so, white, rounded
 FR 1mm or so, glab

Chamaesyce mendezii []

Dense fuzzy-looking v flat lawn cover near milepost 100 or so.
GEN ann, creeping, sev sts from rootstock
ST hairy only ab and esp on sides, strig ab, more spreading on angles, sl flattened in x-sect
 LF ellip-oblong, 6x3+0.5mm, glab
STIP sep ab and fused bel, 1.6-1.7mm and shallowly lacerate bel
INFL 1 per axil esp near tips
glands ellip, dk brown
apps white, 1-3 rounded teeth, conspic
FR hispid, more hair on angles but also on faces, 1.2mm, lobed
 SEED 1mm
STYLE v short and curved up
Is this C. maculata or C. mendezii??
