CabinCove, various, flowers.

Asclepias exaltata

Found several in full fl in overgrown field uphill from Mary-Wanda by road.

Carex platyphylla?

On upturned roots of downed hemlock at a spring, but now no longer in water (actually growing underneath, so must have rooted after tree fell); in fr.
 GEN cesp
LF 23mm wide, leathery, lt green, long, lots basal, caul reduced but still up to 8mm wide
INFL 3 pist spikes and 1 term stam spike, top pist spike > stam spike, no stam fls at base of pist spikes, all erect, peduncles smooth and glab and narr winged
pist scale 5mm, scar w green midv that exts into awn
bracts bel pist bracts w long conspic glab tubular sheath
PERIG ~4.5x1.5mm, fusif to ellip, tapered both ends, fr loose inside, many v faint nerves (could be imp or raised hard to tell), glab and smooth, short apic beak is partly scar, sides rounded
FR 3-sided, sides convex, lt brown, min pap-textured, 2-2.2x1.8mm, short abrupt beak, sl obov, wedge obtuse base
This just doesn't key out: must be an unusual specimen of something.  With lvs that wide, it can only be a few things, namely C. plantaginea (wrong leaf texture though) and C. platyphylla, so despite sl too wide upper lvs and smooth infl and sl too short fr, I have to call it the latter.  Supposedly rare.

Liparis liliifolia

Incredible.  How could we walk within inches of this damned flower for weeks and never notice it??  Still in fl, but near end.  Couple plants right by trail before mound on Jason's Path.

Ludwigia palustris

Finally in fl; in pond by pier.
 LF opp, lance
INFL 1 in axils, subsess fls
HYP larger than sepals, bell, glab, greenish
SEP 4, free, tiny, delt, greenish
 PET none
 OV inf, many ovules

Ophioglossum petiolatum

By rock before mound on Jason's Path; came up not too long ago; in "fl".
STER LF 70x45mm, oblong-ov, rounded obtuse tip, trunc base, widest at base, main areolae 3mm wide by quite long in center near base while 2mm or so roundish (polygonal actually) near marg, not apic at all

Veronica arvensis

Beside basement hatch at cabin; in fl and fr.
GEN tiny, ann? (delicate and no sign of old growth), some br'd bel
ST gland bristly and curly pubesc in places
LF alt, oblance, 7x3.5mm, acutish, d clear long straight gland bristly
 INFL 1 in axils, subsess
 FL 1.5mm, bluish
FR 2.5mm, flat, gland bristly, style minute
