Tubaria confragosa? 

 GEN on wood
 ST relatively stout, same color as cap, no ring (at least none left)
 CAP pinkish-red with wh fibers or hairs, round, revol, smallish
 GILL reddish, sl descend

Polygonia comma 

 GEN 
wing orange w black marg and black spots, irreg shape, brown zoned-mottled bel w obvious small bright wh "comma" on lower wing, see drawing in notes

Cordyceps militaris 

 GEN on ground
 ST fading wh bel
 CAP tall finger, sl enlarged oblong thing at top, red-orange, studded w red conical protrusions (seen at 30x), to 60x3mm

 GEN mass of red-salmon "eggs", 5-6 per mm, clusters 2-3mm wide, on lichen on decid wood bark

Strobilomyces floccopus 

 GEN bolete, solit, on moss at base of smallish living oak, covered with bluish-wh powdery cobwebby mold
 ST like cap
 CAP hemi-spherical, 30-40mm wide, wh with black hairy scales
 GILL dense black tubes
The little Golden Nature Series book calls this S. strobilaceous  is that the sames species?

 GEN bolete, solit, on ground under wh pine
 ST solid, stout, short, covered w red network of scaly-hairy streaks
 CAP wide, flat to sl convex, yell, mostly covered w red hairy scales, thick
 GILL dense spongy tubes, bruise brown, sl descend
 SPORE olive brown
